Sea Scallops

Sea Scallops are wild caught from the Northeast Atlantic Ocean, USA. The Scallops are fished by a dredge, which is dragged along the sea floor, lifting the scallops from the sea bed.

The Atlantic Sea Scallop fishing industry has year-round landings, with each new commercial fishing season commencing on April 1st.

The Atlantic Sea Scallop fishery is the most valuable fishery in the United States. The scallops landed by the fishery generate several times their annual value as they are processed, distributed and sold in various forms. The consistent high level of Fishery Management has resulted in this economic achievement. Atlantic Sea Scallops are now at or near record levels of abundance due to the Management Measures in place.

Atlantic Sea Scallops are prized for their sweet, rich flavour. Individually frozen to lock in freshness, they are a natural low-fat food source.
